MEST 4

Chosen topic area for critical investigation (2000 words + bibliography & references) + linked production. Prepare a 100 word summary for Tuesday 22nd. Handbook and last week's lesson outlines possible areas you may want to look at.

The key is to choose something you're interested in, not too broad and not too narrow. It must be a subject which gives you scope to do a production.
Here are some more sample titles from AQA. Match your proposal against this AQA checklist.
AQA has another list of MEST 4 suggestions here
Check the Media Studies spec for mark schemes and assessment objectives.

Your choice of topic – narrow rather than broad
Synoptic – scope for lots of theory, discussion, issues & debates
Must go beyond NDM or representation
Independent, autonomous
Must include bibliography & real BOOKS
Must allow for a neat tie-in with a practical production
See blog, AQA spec and assessment objectives
